Covalent Minds Chemistry Tutoring was founded as a means of providing students with additional one-on-one instruction and assistance with their chemical education. Chemistry is what we call a "hierarchal" subject, meaning every concept builds on the last one (kind of like a pyramid). Meaning, if one does not understand the concepts presented at the beginning of their chemistry course, this individual will struggle the rest of the semester as every successive concept in chemistry requires a solid understanding of the previous one. 

The mission of Covalent Minds Chemistry Tutoring is to help students see chemistry as a unified and cohesive story—one which is both relevant and interesting to our personal lives and careers. At Covalent Minds Chemistry Tutoring, we see tutoring as a sharing of knowledge (like electrons are shared between atoms in covalent bond) between the tutor and client—meaning there is both a "give and take" in learning and idea-sharing. As our principal tutor, Mr. Escalante, states, "I have learned just as much, if not more, from my students as they have from me." 

Therefore, we view our sessions at Covalent Minds Chemistry Tutoring as opportunities for co-creating knowledge so both the learning experiences of the tutor and client may be enhanced. We hope our time together is well-spent and serves to enrich your academic and personal life.
